Position: Teacher Aide /Drop-in Center Staff (Watertown)

Compensation: $10.40

Employment type: 25-30 hours per week

 

*Looking for someone with availability on Saturdays

*Must have minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children

 

Qualities: High energy, great interpersonal skills, motivated, creative, dedicated, takes initiative, nurturing

Duties include, but are not limited to:

o Supplement curriculum to inspire children and encourage their social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth      

o   Engage in active play, creating a fun and safe environment
o Give individual attention to children in classroom and maintain flexibility as to modify the classroom environment to meet the needs of individual children
o Care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age, which includes preparing bottles, changing diapers according to regulation, following developmentally appropriate practices within the classroom, and consoling infants
o Maintain organization and cleanliness of classrooms
o Maintain child accountability at all times
o Partner with parents to support, guide and share in their child’s growth and development
o Maintain open communication with parents to provide consistency for children
o Fill out daily care sheets on a tablet or “what we did today” bulletin
o Able to adapt to technology integration within the classroom
o Follow and enforce NYS OCFS child care center regulations

 
 
 

Toddler Teacher Assistant

Full-time
Salary: $11.10 to $11.25 /hour

*Must have minimum of 1 year experience working with Toddlers in a professional complicity. Candidate will need a CDA in infant and toddlers or have 9 college credits in Early Childhood.
