Mandy James – Business Owner

Mandy started The Treehouse out of a desire to support and encourage parents during their child rearing journey. She is an army veteran and the mother of four young children.

  Abby Allen – Director

Abby graduated from JCC with her associates degree in Early Childhood. She is currently continuing her education at SUNY Empire. She is expected to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development. 

Jasmine Hadley – Assistant Director 
Jasmine has a teaching assistant certificate from JCC, as well as an Associates degree in Human Services. Jasmine is a mother of one and has worked in childcare for 5 plus years. 

Candy Shaw – Infant Lead Teacher
Candy ran her own in-home daycare for 8 years. She received her Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential in June of 2016. Candy also coaches cheer-leading at Thousand Island School. She puts so much love and positivity into everything she does! 

Terrah Widrick – Infant Assistant Teacher
Terrah attended the early childhood education program through BOCES. She is also a mother of one. Terrah hopes to further her education someday. 

Aleah LaFlamme – Infant Teacher’s Aid 
Aleah has spent time volunteering, including church fundraisers, assisting church teachers with lessons and music activities, repairing flood damaged homes and serving in soup kitchens. She was also an assistant for a public school kindergarten class. 

Mary Ellen Cooper – Toddler Lead Teacher
Mary Ellen has her Child Development Associate Credential. She is also currently furthering her education with anticipation of getting her Bachelors of Science degree in Early Childhood. 

Katiann Park – Toddler Assistant Teacher
Katiann has a tremendous love for children. She and her husband are certified foster parents with the Children’s Home of Jefferson County. Katiann is also a youth leader with The New Life Christian Church.

Monica Houghton – Float and Drop-In 

Monica is pregnant with her and her fiancé’s first child! She loves to do yoga, and she can’t wait to be a mom! Monica hopes to obtain her CDA and possibly run an in-home daycare in the future.

Shawna Dutton – Thrive lead Teacher
Shawna has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Psychology. She and her husband dream of having children of their own someday! 

Katie Loveland – Thrive Co-Lead 
Katie received her Associate’s degree in Early Childhood from JCC and her bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of Albany  

Maria Reyes – Thrive Teacher’s Aid 
SACC Teacher’s Aid 
Maria has a true love for helping others, especially children. She dreams of someday going back to school to get a degree in nursing. 

Elise Armstrong – Sprouts 1 Lead Teacher
Elise has her CDA. She is currently continuing her education and expecting to complete her Bachelor’s in Childhood Education. Elise has two fur babies at home that she loves to tell the children stories about! 

Sarah Fowler – Substitute Teacher 
Sarah received her Associates degree in Childhood Education in 2017. She is patiently awaiting for her husbands return from his deployment.  

Kirsit Henry – Sprouts 2 Lead Teacher 
Kirsti has a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Special Education. Kirsti and her family are currently celebrating a new addition to their family. 

Brittni Lingley  – Float and Drop-In 
​Brittni is currently attending JCC for childhood education. She is excited about graduating in 2018. Brittni’s end goal is to one day become high school English teacher or teach at the college level. 

Carissa Purtell – Float 

Carissa grew up in Alex Bay and graduated from JCC in 2017. She hopes to use her new degree to open a food pantry and homeless shelter. She is very excited about this job as she loves children!

Nicole Tantillo – Drop-In Manager
Nicole is new to New York. Her goal is to get her CDA some day down the road. She has 6 plus years of working in child care environments. 

Leah Beyers & Drop-in Shift Supervisor

Leah is a theatre major and is involved with Lyric Theatre and the Little Theatre of Watertown. Before working at the Treehouse, Leah was a nanny. She recently moved to Watertown because her boyfriend is stationed at Fort Drum. Leah hopes to one day own her own Drop-In Center or a Kid’s Theatre program.

Jahara Green – Drop-in and Float 

Jahara is an Evan’s Mills native and a 2015 graduate of Indian River. She recently moved back to Watertown after college in Wyoming. She enjoys playing the violin and plans to go to school for Social Work. 

Siera Robins – Drop-in and float

Siera is in her first year at JCC studying Early Childhood Education. She also plays on the college’s softball team! Siera is from the Watertown area, and plans to settle down here. She hopes to be a Preschool or Kindergarten teacher, or work with special needs children!

Breana Johnson – Drop-In and Float

Breana grew up in Mannsville since she was 9. She is currently studying at JCC to become a nurse. She plans to transfer to Binghamton after JCC to continue her nursing education. In the future, Breana wants to be a nurse practitioner and work in the upstate area.
